The owners of J.B.C. Contractors bring more than 80 years of combined experience in the industry. Each of them began in the field and worked their way up to Management level. You will often see them out on the jobsites working along with the field crews. The project managers and highly trained field crews have more than 50 years of combined experience, as well. JBC prides itself in providing quality work in a professional manner.
Josh B. Carter, President
Josh graduated Harris County High in 1995 and started his construction career. In 1999, he started his own business as Carter Construction. Carter Construction evolved into JBC Contractors, in 2006 with the focus being on concrete and grading.
Josh has been part of countless commercial, industrial, and residential construction projects and is involved in all aspects of JBC’s day to day operations. He has completed many shut down projects which were on stringent deadlines always ensuring that the manufacturer was up and running at the schedule time.
Josh’s determination to do an outstanding job, keeping his clients satisfied while continuing to excel within the industry has given him the ability to handle many economic ups and downs over the last 20 plus years. He lives by the simple rule, “If you can conquer it in your mind, it is all downhill from there.
Josh is married to Brooke Carter and has three children Macy, Avery, and Jace.
Chad Bishop, Vice President, Concrete Division
Born and raised in Manchester Georgia, Chad joined JBC Contractors in 2011. With ACI Certification, Chad brings 25 years of experience in concrete construction and is a leader in the field. Serving the entire Southeast, he is committed to exceptional quality in every job. He oversees all essential employees in his department, as well as construction schedules, to ensure that all projects contracted with JBC are completed on time and within budget. Chad is involved in the entire process, from selection and bidding to contract negotiations, to leadership on site.
Chad is a friendly face around the office and the jobsite. You can expect a joke and a good laugh, and you can expect to have made a friend in the industry.
Scott Fowler, Vice President, Site Work Division
Scott began his career in the construction industry at the early age of 18 working his way through college. After earning his degree, he has continued in the industry advancing from heavy equipment operator, estimator, project manager to present day as corporate Vice President of the site work division at J.B.C. Contractors, LLC.
Scott, who is local to the area joined JBC Contractors in 2018, bringing over 24 years of experience and knowledge to the company. He is responsible for all site work, grading operations, estimating, scheduling and quality control. He works thoroughly to ensure that the customer is satisfied with the completed product.
Chris Koon, Project Estimator
Chris who is local to the area began his career in the construction industry in 1997. He has been a dedicated loyal employee at JBC Contractors since the very beginning. Chris worked his way up the ladder with the company and has worn many hats throughout the last 20 plus years. His experience throughout the years has afforded him the necessary understanding to relate to both the employee and customer. After gaining extensive experience in the field, he is now Project Estimator. He takes a hands-on approach in all aspects of the business and is a calming personality to all that he meets.
